Maple Game Studio ("we," "us," or "our") operates What's the LINK?, a Facebook Instant Game. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Our game runs on the Facebook Instant Games platform using Meta's Network Enabled Zero Permissions (NEZP) system. Under NEZP, we receive limited data from Meta:
Player ID: A unique, game-specific identifier assigned by Facebook. This is not your Facebook user ID and cannot be used to identify you personally.
Game Progress: Your puzzle completion history, scores, streaks, settings, and gameplay statistics. This data is stored locally on your device and may be synced to Facebook's cloud storage via the Instant Games SDK to enable cross-device play.
We do not collect your name, email address, profile picture, friend list, or any other personally identifiable information. Under NEZP, social features like names and profile pictures are rendered by Meta's overlay system and are never shared with us.
We use the data described above solely to:
Provide the game experience — saving your progress, maintaining your streak, tracking scores, and syncing game data across devices.
Improve the game — understanding aggregate gameplay patterns to improve puzzle design, difficulty balancing, and game features. We do not analyze individual player data for this purpose.
Our game displays ads through Meta's Audience Network. We do not control or have access to any data collected by the Audience Network. Ad targeting and data collection are governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties. The only data that exists outside your device is your game progress stored on Facebook's servers through the Instant Games SDK, which is governed by Meta's data policies.
Game progress is stored locally on your device via browser storage and optionally synced to Facebook's cloud storage through the Instant Games SDK. We do not operate our own servers or databases that store player data.
Our game is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
You have the right to:
Delete your data — See our Data Deletion page for instructions on how to remove all game data associated with your account.
Stop playing — Simply stop opening the game. We do not send emails or contact you outside of the Facebook platform.
Manage Facebook permissions — Visit your Facebook App Settings to review or remove the game's access to your account.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of the game after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
